Shannon Patten, responsible for Publix public relations for this area, says that Publix always opens its new stores on a Thursday. The store will be open 7 days a week from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., she said. For more details about the stores, see the previous story Sneak Peek: Publix Nears Completion.
Construction superintendent Lance Hood, pictured below with electrician Angel Casseres, said that the project went smoothly and he hopes to turn the facility entirely over to Publix in a few weeks.
