Dennis Goodman, who has lived in Naples for 20 years, says he started with photography in high school. "But that was more for recreation."
Then, like many a parent with a new child, he rediscovered his camera after his daughters were born. Since their arrival, "it hasn't left my hand very much," he says.
Eventually he focused his lens on nature. His website shows his love of the outdoors in a stunning array that includes eagles, water lilies, white tail deer, seascapes and that Florida favorite, the alligator. He says he rarely enhances his photos, preferring to enjoy the beauty of nature as it is. "Drop me off in the Everglades for a couple of hours with my camera," he says, "and I'm a happy man."
This will be the first year Dennis has come to the Festival of the Arts. "I've been in other art shows," he says, "like Art in the Park and Art Crafters. Then someone told me ‘You have to go to Ave Maria.'
Dennis looks forward to his work being shown in the Naples gallery Six Degrees this April. He work has also been shown in Gulfshore Life and Destination Naples magazines and other upscale publications.
