Donahue Clinches Playoff Berth with 30-8 Win

The Donahue Academy Shamrocks beat Solid Rock of Tarpon Springs 30-8 Friday night, improving their undefeated season record to 8-0 and clinching a playoff berth.
The smothering Donahue defense, led by Dominic Allan and JP Klucik, did not allow a Solid Rock first down until the last play of the third quarter. On offesne, Randy Beidelschies and Elias Allan combined for two TD passes and 138 yards passing. and Mark Cheffers had two touchdown receptions.
"This was a great team effort tonight and I am really proud of our team's perserverance," said Coach Rich Scanlon.
The Shamrocks travel four hours to play Spring Hills Christian. Then the team has a bye week before returning home Nov. 6 to play Clearwater in the last game of the regular season.
