The Donahue Academy girls basketball team made their second straight trip to the regional championship playoffsTuesday night, losing 55-35 to Sarasota Christian -- the same team that beat them in the Class 2A-Region 3 semi-finals last year.
The girls were one of only three teams from the Naples area to make it to the regional championships round.
Turnovers hurt the Shamrocks early in the game as they lost the ball on three of their first four posessessions, and Sarasota Christian took advantage.
Emilee Fournier led the Shamrocks in scoring with 14 points while Monica Williams and Joan Cheffers had three each.
Before last night's game, Cheffers was named by the Naples Daily News as its "Girls Prep of the Week" for her standout performance that led Donahue to a victory over Seacrest last week in the regional quarterfinals.
