The Ave Maria Grammar and Prep school has been awarded a $1,000 grant from the Build-A-Bear Workshop Bear Hugs Foundation. The grant will be used to develop theschool's library capabilities. "Reading is great fun and a critical part of our school," said Headmaster Dr. Dan Guernsey "This generous grant has allowed us to purchase a library scanner and labels to better track our library holdings and get as many books as possible into the hands of the students."
The Build-A-Bear Workshop Bear Hugs Foundation supports the First Book and many other literacy programs in the U.S. and Canada through the sale of a special toy in Build-a-Bear Workshop stores.
