Statues of Apostles Installed at Oratory

The statues, which were made in Northern Italy, are cast in bronze and covered in 24-karat gold leaf.
The picture above shows, from left to right, St. Peter, St. John and St. Thomas in their respective niches. All statues were briefly installed to check all the mounting details and the picture below shows St. Peter being positioned in the first niche with the other apostles -- from left: St. Andrew, St. James, St. John, St. Philip, St. Bartholomew, St. Thomas, St. Matthew, St. James the Less, St. Thaddeus, St. Simon and St. Mathais. A donation of a statue is $25,000 and anyone interested in this naming opportunity should call Carole Carpenter, AMU Vice President of University Relations, at 239-280-2572.
Inside the oratory, the crucifix is scheduled to be installed later this month.
