Johnny Bench Kicks Off Golf Classic

Johnny Bench poses with Fr. Garrity, coach of the AMU golf team, and two members of the team: Peter Lesniewski, a freshman from Illinois, and Travis Speier, a junior from Phoenix.

Bench tees off at the 1st hole at the Del Webb course at Ave Maria. Other players competed throughout the day to hit a longer drive, with the longest winning a baseball autographed by the former Cincinnati Reds catcher.
