By bus and plane, hundreds of students from Ave Maria University, the Donahue Academy and the AVe Maria School of Law went to Washington, D.C., to participate in the annual March for Life marking the anniversary of the Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion.
The largest Ave Maria contingent was from Ave Maria University, where 165 students boarded buses late Tuesday afternoon for the overnight trip to the nation's capital. Many more AMU students went to Washington by other means, said the university Vice President of Student Affairs, Julie Cosden. (Right, part of the AMU contingent. Below, the AMU banner was shown on the Fox News Channel).
Buses arrive back at AMU Friday morning.
Eight students and four chaperones from the Donahue Academy flew up, as did about 30 students and faculty at the Ave Maria School of Law in Naples.
