The Ave Maria Stewardship Community District board will consider proposed regulations on the use of golf carts and fishing in town lakes at its Nov. 3 meeting. The supervisors also will vote on next year's budget as well as discuss the process for directly electing at least one member of the board.

Fr. Mayer Promoted to Pastor

Fr. Cory Mayer has been elevated to pastor of the Quasi Parish of Ave Maria Oratory after serving as the parish administrator for two years. The diocese has also appointed Fr. Eric Scanlan, whose parents live in Ave Maria, to succeed Fr. Mayer (right) as the diocesesan director of vocations.

Donahue Remains Undefeated with Rout of Spring Hill

Randy Beidelchies scored five touchdowns Friday night as the Donahue Academy Shamrocks improved their unbeaten season record to 9-0 Friday with a 56-14 rout of Spring Hill Christian. The Shamrocks have a bye next weekend and face powerhouse Clearwater Academy at home Nov. 6 to close out the regular season.
