 The Donahue Academy Shamrocks beat Academy of the Lakes 52-20 at North Park in Ave Maria Friday night to advance to the second round of the playoffs. The team's four seniors -- Dominic Allan, Anthony Altomari, Mark Scheck and Eric Peterson were recognized at halftime.

The Donahue Academy Shamrocks fell to league powerhouse Clearwater Christian 68-36 Friday night at North Park in Ave Maria in a battle of undefeated teams. Donahue, now 9-1 on the season, will host Academy at the Lakes Friday, Nov. 13, at North Park to open the playoffs.

Ambitious plans for a 1,250-seat performing arts center at Ave Maria University have been shelved in favor of a smaller venue and Myra Daniels, founder of Artis-Naples, says she now has no involvement with the project.
