 Ave Maria University has announced a record enrollment of almost 900 undergraduate students for the fall term, an increase of more than 20 percent from the previous fall.

The Donahue Shamrocks notched their second shutout of the seaon Friday night, beating Hollywood Christian 28-0 in a seven-man football game played in Hollywood. The win improved the Shamrocks to 3-1 on the season.

AMU Taking New Steps to Deal with Bears

 Ave Maria University is taking a number of actions regarding black bears that have been spotted on campus. The university says Florida Fish and Wildlife officials are committed to new efforts to trap the bears, and a workshop open to residents is scheduled for Saturday morning that will focus on specifics of dealing with the bears.

Bishop Dewane Celebrates AMU Opening Mass

Ave Maria University held its opening Mass Friday with Bishop Frank Dewane as the principal celebrant. The university has had a substantial increase in enrollment and now has more than 850 undergraduate students.
