AMU students working on the "Mary's Meals" project are showing a half-hour film two times this week to introduce a project they are hoping the entire town, as well as the AMU university, will embrace.

Election Result Means AMU's Fight Against Contraceptive Mandate Continues

"The re-election of President Obama means that our Federal lawsuit in defense of our University's religious freedom will proceed," Ave Maria University President Jim Towey said in a letter to AMU students and staff. Mr. Towey also announced formation of a special committee to look at the school's health insurance options.

 The St. Laurent Candy and Nut Shop in the Ave Maria Town Center offers a selection of homemade chocolates, fudge, nuts and other specialty items plus old-time commercially-made candy not easily available today. They also offer services like dry cleaning pick-up and golf cart rental, with plans for more. Above, store manager Chip Kiesel at the candy counter.
