Michael Raiger Receives First Laub-Novak Award

 Ave Maria University literature professor Michael Raiger was honored as the first recipient of the Laub-Novak Award for Excellence in Teaching in the Arts and Humanities at a reception Sunday night. The award is a private initiative of the Novak Family Foundation.

Daniel Dix's Sister Receives Special Award from the Dalai Lama

 Susan Dix Lyons, who started medical clinic in an impoverished area of Nicaragua, was one of about 50 people recognized as an "Unsung Heroes of Compassion Award" by the Dalai Lama at a ceremony in San Francisco earlier this week.
