 Hundreds of students from Ave Maria University, the Donahue Academy and the Ave Maria School of Law were among the thousands in Washington at the annual march marking the anniversary of the Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion.

More Arrests for Stealing Ave Maria Sign Letters

Three more Ave Maria University students were arrested Friday on theft charges for stealing large metal letters from the Ave Maria entrance sign on Oil Well Rd. A fourth student was arrested in December for the same incident, and a second investigation into a similar incident Jan. 13 is being investigated by the Collier County Sheriff's Office.

No Damage in Fire at Maple Ridge Construction Site

 Black smoke towered over Ave Maria Tuesday when a small fire flared up at a construction site for Phase 3 of Maple Ridge in Ave Maria. Resident Kyle Kopec said it appeared that a controlled burn apparently got out of control. Fire crews based in Ave Maria and Immokalee put down the fire in a few hours, and there were no injuries or damage. (photo by Kyle Kopec)
Seana Sugrue is 1st Laub Novak Award Winner This Year
