Ave Maria University has a new team in place to tackle what the school says is a needed "revitalization" of its music department. Three new faculty have been hired, and one more long-time faculty member – Lan Lam – is not returning.

The Ave Maria Stewardship Community District is beginning a discussion at its Aug. 4 meeting on possible restrictions on recreational use of district lakes in Ave Maria. The meeting also will consider the budget for the coming fiscal year.

Local Knights of Columbus Help Immokalee Food Bank

Eviction Proceedings Started Against Milano's Pizza

 Ave Maria Development has initiated court proceedings to evict Milano's Pizzeria in the town center due to issues involving payment of rent and breaches of other obligations. Collier County also is suing Milano's for unpaid taxes.
