 Fr. Benedict Groeschel visited the Donahue Academy Monday spoke at the morning Mass. Sunday, on the Ave Maria University campus, he told an audience of students, staff and residents that all religions, including Catholicism, are seeing a push toward orthodoxy. (Above photo of Fr.  Sculptor Márton Váró (above, beginning work) has returned from Italy to continue carving The Annunciation sculpture for the oratory. The sculpture is now about half completed, he says.

Oil Well Rd Project Will Create Recreational Lake in Ave Maria

Pits dug for fill near the entrance to Ave Maria will create two new lakes, one of which will be available for recreational uses such as boating or fishing, reported Barron Collier's Tom Sansbury Tuesday at the Ave Maria Stewardship Community District Meeting. The road widening project will be awarded by year-end.
