Town residents who responded to the Ave Herald's request for comment were overwhelmingly critical of recent coverage by the local TV station. The reports were "obviously biased and edited to present a negative viewpoint," was a typical comment.

Ave Maria University President Nick Healy told students in an email Wednesday that the university does not "make any effort to restrict speech by students." His email referred to "recent publicity about supposed curbs on freedom of speech."

 This 1954 film, third in Ave Maria's Classic Film Series, stars James Stewart and Grace Kelly and is generally regarded as one of Alfred Hitchcock's best pictures. Dr. Paul Baxa, who will lead the discussion following the film Nov. 19, also views it as prescient about American life 55 years later.
