Voters Cast Ballots in Ave Maria for First Time

 Polls opened for the first time in Ave Maria Tuesday and Mary Stuller became the first resident to vote in person at the community center in town. Before the March 15 election, the closest polling place was in Immokalee.

 The Donahue Academy varsity team placed fourth at the Collier County Scholar Bowl and in another competition, sisters Leila Joy and Sofia Isabel Castillo were finalists in a national essay contest sponsored by the Home School Legal Defense Association.
