Genuine Feminine Conference at AMU

Genuine Feminine Conference at AMU

Date: Fri. 13 Jan, 2017 5:00 pm
Duration: All Day

This year's "Genuine Feminine" conference at Ave Maria University Jan. 13-14 explores the roles of men and women in today's society. The description for this year's conference:

"With dozens of gender options for Facebook profiles and countless new gender-neutral pronouns, what was once a clear division between "man" and "woman" is now being blurredby policies for tolerance and an attempted redefinition of the family unit. While the legalization of same sex marriage, new restroom policies, and biological alterations of gender headline the media as "progress", society is facing a reality of gender wars, confusion of roles, and broken families.

"We find ourselves in a time that is questioning the very roots of what it means for man and woman to be different and complementary. While seeking answers in unfettered individualism, society has forgotten that cooperative synergy produces a combined result greater than the sum of the separate effects. How can awakening a proper understanding of the synergy created by authentic complementarity hold the key to healing our culture?"

A keynote address and social are planned for the evening of Friday, Jan. 13, and the main conference is Saturday, Jan. 14.
