Births

Thomas John Freeman, (right) grandson of Carlos and Amelia Figueroa of Del Webb, born to their daughter Vivianne and husband, Joshua, (left, with baby) Jan. 25 in Manchester, PA. Dad and son now share the same birthday!  Grandma Figueroa, or "Nanna," attributes this to God's timing and planning.  Back in 2007, Vivianne spent a year doing missionary work while Joshua patiently waited for her. Soon after, they were married and Vivianne was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome.  They were told that it might be impossible to conceive on their own. Two weeks later they found out they were already pregnant. "God had it all planned!" said Grandma.

Engagements/Weddings

Married: Jennifer Bartolomeo and Adrian Martinez were married on December 19th, 2009, at the Ave Maria Oratory. At right, the couple with Fr. Robert McTeague (L) and Fr. Piotr Paciorek. 

Married: Christine M. Spenik & Gary E. Huber were married at the Ave Maria Oratory Dec. 12 with Father Joseph Fessio, S.J. officiating.

Christine has been with the Rhodora J. Donahue Adademy of Ave Maria for one year and teaches first grade. Gary has been with Ave Maria University for 4 years and is currently working in development as the Phonathon Manager/Alumni Liaison.  They plan to live in Gary's current home in Emerson Park after they are married.
