Budget Key Topic at AMSCD Meeting Aug. 9

The proposed budget for the 2011-2012 fiscal year beginning this fall is the major topic on the agenda for the meeting of the Ave Maria Stewardship Community District board at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9.

The budget is virtually identical to the current year's budget, with no increases in assessments for residents.

Other agenda topics include an updates on the revised golf cart program, the mosquito control programs and the Immokalee Fire Department, which has responsibility for Ave Maria and has undergone staffing reductions in recent months.

The board has responsibility for infrastructure such as roads, landscaping and maintenance of public areas and irrigation. The August meeting will be held at the offices of the Ave Maria Master Association at the fitness center on Annunciation Circle. All board meetings are open to the public.
