schweikle1aAn eclectic collection of photographs -- matching the eclectic history of their photographer, Ave Maria resident Tony Schweikle -- now is on display at the headquarters of the Ave Maria Foundation for the Arts in the town center.

The 21 photographs show street scenes in Italy, landscapes and buildings in Europe and the American West, Florida wildlife and some of the people who have fascinated Mr. Schweikle over the years. "One of the things I'm hoping to get across is how beautiful our surroundings are," Mr. Schweikle said, animatedly pointing to a nature photograph he took just one day earlier on a walk outside his home in La Piazza.

The pictures are on display through April -- and possibly longer -- and are available for purchase with the proceeds supporting the Ave Maria Foundation for the arts. Two oschweikle3af the pictures are below.
