Donahue Academy 3rd in Collier Scholar Bowl

The Varsity team from the Donahue Academy of Ave Maria finished third of six teams Saturday in the Collier County scholar bowl championships.

Community School of Naples finished first and St. John Neumann second. Behind Donahue were Golden Gate, Lely and Naples High Schools.

Michael John Dauphinais of Donahue Academy also was chosen to the All-Star team that will represent the county at the state Scholar Bowl championships in April in Orlando. In January, Michael John won a scholar bowl match singlehandedly when he competed solo because other teammates were on the March for Life in Washington, D.C. See that story here.
