The Ave Maria Choraliers made life a little brighter for residents at several Naples nursing homes this week.
The group led by Elaine Doerrfeld performed a Christmas program that included songs and narrations of the Nativity Story along with secular Christmas songs and carols. Bells and song sheets were provided for the residents for audience participation.
"The participation was great and the residents and staff enjoyed the program very much -- and so did the Choraliers," Mrs. Doerrfeld said. "It was an enjoyable experience for all."
The Choraliers were invited to come back and do a St. Patrick's Day program. The group welcomes anyone who wants to sing -- no formal training required -- and reheasals for the St. Patrick's Day program will begin the first week in February. They meet on Fridays at 3:00 p.m at Mrs. Doerrfeld's home in Emerson Park For further details contact: Elaine by email at
