coyle1Fred Coyle, a leader in the effort to bring a Jackson Lab facility to the area, won a narrow re-election victory Tuesday night over challenger Lavigne Kirkpatrick in the Republican primary for the District 4 seat. Mr. Coyle received about 54 percent of the vote and is commissioner-elect as there is no challenger in the general election. In the election for the District 2 open seat, Georgia Hiller, who has said there should be a referendum on the proposed $130-million county subsidy for Jackson Labs, won handily and faces independent Chuck Roth in the general election.
