Ave Maria resident Tony Schweikle and his wife, Phyllis Alden, will be heading to Bari, Italy, for the Levante International Film Festival where Mr. Schweikle's  documentary Barbarossa and the Tower of Italy will be screened later this month.

The film focuses on the thousands of towers, or torres, that were built along the Italian coast to defend against the Saracen pirates. A previous Ave Herald story on the film can be found here.
