Bishop Dewane Reportedly Named to AMU Board

Bishop Frank Dewane of the Diocese of Venice was appointed to the Ave Maria University Board of Trustees June 9, according to the Cardinal Newman Society. The society's website lauds the move, and says the university also reserved the seat for Bishop Dewane's successors. Cardinal Adam Maida, former archbishop of Detroit, also was reported to have been named to the board.
