It was a bustling scene outside The Bean Friday as town residents of all ages attended a "resident appreciation party" put on by the Ave Maria Master Association. Steve Ernst, the association's executive director, said he lost count of how many people attended after they went through 200 name tags in the first hour.

Food and drink were supplied by The Bean of Ave Maria and Tropical Smoothie.
