Immokalee Pregnancy Center Benefit at AMU

About 150 people turned out Friday night to support the Immokalee Pregnancy Center at a fundraising dinner held in the AMU student union ballroom. Attendees included a mix of Ave Maria residents and people from Immokalee and the surrounding area.

The center provides pro-life counseling, support and services fro pregnant women. Main speaker Scott Klusendorf, author of Pro-Life 101: a Step-by-StepGuide to Making Your case Persuasively told the audience that the pro-life movement has significant challenges at this time but "surrender is not an option."

The center is raising money to enlarge its staff to help more women.
