Cooler temperatures -- for Florida, anyway -- were a further reminder of the Christmas season in Ave Maria Friday during the annual Celebration of Lights in the town center.

The event, which is the town's oldest and largest, drew another large crowd from throughout Southwest Florida, enjoying the parade, food, a visit rom Santa and popular activities such as skating on an artificial ice rink and a zipline.
