The Donahue Academy Shamrocks shook off a slow start Friday and then dominated in a 41-12 victory over Solid Rock in Tarpon Springs in the last game of the regular eight-man football season.

The Shamrocks finish the regular season undefeated and have earned a bye in the first round of the state championship playoffs that begin next weekend.

Quarterback Elias Allan had another big night, throwing for two touchdowns and running for another. Randy Beidelshies had two rushing  touchdowns and Mark Cheffers and Andrew Scanlon each caught a touchdown pass. John Paul Klucik returned an interception for a score and Thomas Donahue had a safety. Mark Cheffers and Uriel Martinez also had interceptions.

"We had a strong defensive performance against a big, physical team in Solid Rock," said Coach Rich Scanlon.

The Shamrocks play their quarter-final playoff game at North Park in Ave Maria Nov. 18.
