Some Arthrex employees have partnered with Ave Maria University in a novel efort to raise money for the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer effort.
The AMU volleyball team will hold a two-day volleyball clinic Aug. 11-12 for students entering grades 4-8, with a portion of the fee donated to the efforts of Arthrex employees to raise money for breast cancer research.
Hayley Wonka, an AMU graduate who was on the university volleyball team, was among those working with AMU to set up the clinic. It costs $60 for two days, of which $25 will be donated to the Making Strides effort. The American Cancer Society's Making Strides campaign is not associated with the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
