"This year we are adding a fourth dance company performance team and for the first time will be bringing a select number of dancers to participate in a dance competition in the spring," said academy director and founder Karen Ledesma.

The academy also has hired a new director the Ave Children's Theater. The academy's popular drama program will be in the hands of Jason Porrata (below left), a Florida State University graduate who has just finished a professional apprenticeship with the Cleveland Play House in Cleveland, OH. He also has worked as a teaching artist for the Coterie Theater in Kansas City, MO, rated by Time Magazine as one of the five best theaters for young audiences.
