Funeral Services for Giorgio Allan Friday, March 21

giorgioBaby Giorgio Michelangelo Frassati Allan, who was in the hearts and prayers of so many people in the Ave Maria community, will be laid to rest Friday.

Giorgio, the son of long-time Ave Maria residents Scott and Chelsea Allan, struggled with serious health issues since his birth June 5, 2013, and was in the hospital for his entire life.

The funeral Mass is at 10 a.m. Friday in the Ave Maria Oratory, preceded by visitation in the oratory from 9:15 a.m. to 9:50 a.m. Mrs. Allan said that children are invited to wear white to the funeral, and anyone in the community is welcome to attend. There will be a luncheon afterward in the Ave Maria University ballroom and burial will be at 2:30 p.m. at Palm Royale Cemetery in the Garden of Innocence.

Throughout his brief life, it was Mrs. Allan's goal to bring Giorgio home. Now, she wrote in a Facebook posting, "a friend has reminded me that he is home."
