The Donahue Academy Shamrocks beat Hernando Christtian 38-10 Friday night in a road game that closed out the regular 7-man football season. Donahue finished with a record of 10-0, counting forfeit wins against Nicea Academy and Cape Coral Christian.
The Shamrocks earned a bye in the first round of the state championships and will host a quarter-final game at North Park Nov. 22.
John Longely threw five touchdown passes Friday night and ran for another score. Matt Houde had two TD receptions while Joe Deliso, Luke Scheck and Dan Scanlan each had one.
JP Klucik led the defense with seven tackles, while Cale Schneider had 6.5 tackles and a QB sack. Luke Scheck added six tackles and Albert Matthieu had 5.5 tackles. John Hurley had 3 tackles and a QB sack. Joe Deliso added an interception.
