Football players from age six to 18 will have the chance to sharpen their skills under the tutelage of former star NFL running Back Edgerrin James and other athletes and coaches at the fourth annual Edgerrin James Football Skills Camp, held this year at North Park in Ave Maria Monday, July 29.
From 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., players will receive receive instruction on technique enhancements, teamwork, sportsmanship, and educational life skills. Instructors include players from college and the National Football League as well as members of the NFL's coaching staff.
The camp is structured to actively engage every participant and campers will be grouped according to age, size, and/or experience level.

James, a standout at Immokalee High School, starred for the University of Miami and played for three NFL teams: the Seattle Seahawks, Arizona Cardinals, and Indianapolis Colts. He established the Edgerrin James Foundation in 2000 to help youth and young adults.
This is the first year the camp will be held in Ave Maria.
