wenski-1-350What Miami Archbishop Thomas Wenski did in Ave Maria over the weekend was pretty standard stuff for a high-ranking cleric. How he got to Ave Maria was not.

Archbishop Wenski, an avid motorcyclist, roared across Alligator Alley on his Harley Davidson, meeting a group of about 20 fellow bikers from Naples and Bonita Springs before leading them up Ave Maria Blvd. (right)

On arrival, he blessed the group, (below left) then moved on to the reason for his trip -- to attend the Marian Eucharistic Conference at Ave Maria University along with about 425 other people.
