Donahue JV Football Team Off to Fast Start

The Donahue Academy junior varsity 7-man football team shutout Nicaea Academy of Naples 13-0 Friday night in a game at North Park in Ave Maria. The young squad now is 2-0 on the season. Right, Dominic Schneider handing off to Johnpaul Klucik.
Johnpaul Klucik scored both touchdowns Friday for Donahue and an extra point run by Sean Doman rounded out the scoring. Quarterbacking duties were shared by Thomas Donohue, Doman and Dominic Schneider.
Daniel Chmielowski and Klucik both forced fumbles for a defense that relentlessly pressured the Nicaea quarterback. Below, Klucik running for the game's final touchdown with less than a minute to play.

he JV Shamrocks also beat Nicaea last week, 45-32, with Ken Longley and Mark Cheffers each rushing for a touchdown, Donohue connecting to Hannibal Whitesell for a 35-yard touchdown, and Klucik rushing 194 yards for 4 touchdowns.
The team is coached by Matt Dicarlo, Scott Schneider, Martin Doman, Don Stuller and Bob Campbell.
