Fr. Robert Garrity Steps Down as AMU Campus Ministry Director

Fr. Robert Garrity (right) is stepping down from his role as Ave Maria University's director of campus ministry and will work as an assistant professor of Theology in the next academic year, AMU President Jim Towey has announced.

Fr. Garrity said that although he's enjoyed his eight-years as director of campus ministry, it was time to try something new, and he looked forward to teaching and also doing some writing.

Fr. Robert McTeigue, S.J., (left) will replace Fr. Garrity as interim director of campus ministry for one year, Mr. Towey said. Fr. McTeigue will continue to serve as an adjunct professor of philosophy but Mr. Towey said his course load will be lightened in light of his new responsibilities.
