julie1Julie Marie Carrier, who remembers the days when she was labeled a “nerd” and didn’t get asked to her high school prom -- and who went on to became Miss Virginia 2002 as well as an Emmy-nominated talk show host -- will speak about true beauty and living life as a woman of virtue to young women ages ten and up, as well as their mothers, fathers and grandparents at Donahue Academy Wednesday, May 9th, at 6:30 PM.

Miss Carrier, who won her pageant title, hosted an Emmy nominated TV talk show, authored a book and worked as senior leadership consultant for the Pentagon – all by age 27 – has been featured on NBC’s Today Show and in the book The Success Principles by Jack Canfield. She is also a coach on MTV’s program about positive goal-setting, MADE

Her visit to Donahue Academy marks the end of her spring tour, which included eighteen talks given in area public and private schools, and which was made possible because of sponsorship by the Collier Community Abstinence Program (CCAP) and local businesses.

She will be signing her book BeYOUtiful after her talk.
