Homeschoolers Show Projects at Science Fair

Young homeschooled students from Ave Maria got a chance to share some of their knowledge Saturday afternoon at a science fair for town homeschoolers held at the Ave Maria University physics lab. Right, Isaiah Scanlon, 5, explains the workings of the brain to one of the judges, Shahodat Hamraeva, an AMU senior majoring in biology.

Prizes announced at the end of the fair went to:

5-6 age group, a 3-way tie for First Place:  Anthony Rubino, Isaiah Scanlon and Mary Rose Klein;

7-8 age group, First Place to Jonathon Novecosky and Second Place to Michael Martinez;

9 and above age group, First Place to Miranda Schultz and Second Place to Mary Elizabeth Klein.
