"This will be a beautiful facility," said Pulte Homes SW Florida president Ryan Marshall, adding, "I assure you it will be completed on schedule in December and ready to open in January, 2013."
The facility (pictured left) will offer Del Webb residents community gathering space, fitness facilities, a resort pool and other recreational opportunities. There will be 12,000 square feet of indoors, air-conditioned space, Mr. Marshall said, along with another 15,000 square feet of covered outdoor area, 2,500 square feet of which will be screened.
Mr. Marshall and Barron Collier Real Estate President Blake Gable said the real estate environment was improving. Mr. Marshall said that 10 homes have been sold in the last 30 days in Del Webb, and Mr. Gable said, "We're more optimistic now than we have been in a long time."
Following the groundbreaking, residents and visitors adjourned to the Del Webb sales center for entertainment and refreshments.
