Donahue Students Spend Spring Break Helping Poor in Nicaragua

AMU Students Studying in Rome Witnessing History

About a dozen Ave Maria University students are studying in Rome this semester and some are sending their thoughts and some pictures to The Ave Herald. Many students are spending a lot of time in St. Peter's Square these days, some there all night to ensure they'll be there when the new pope is announced, writes AMU student Kim Scharfenberger.  Alexandra Clark is struck by how many people are in the square praying, and at the media circus that has erupted. Above, AMU students were among those spending a rainy night in St. Pater's Square Tuesday.

Marian Statue from Fatima in Ave Maria March 14-15

marystatue2-130A statue of Our Lady of Fatima, which has been touring the world for more than 65 years, will be at the oratory in Ave Maria March 14 and 15. Specialactivities, including a procession and a talk by the statue's current custodian, are planned for Thursday evening.
