Pulte Homes, the main homebuilder in the town of Ave Maria, is offering a new home model that the developer says is better suited for larger families. The model, called the Nautilus (right), will be the only home available in Ave Maria with six bedrooms.

The two-story home has 3,514 square feet, six bedrooms, four bathrooms, an eat-in kitchen and a two-car garage. Pulte says it will be built in an area of the Emerson Park neighborhood but the exact street location was not immediately disclosed. An email from Pulte representative Jenna Arigo says the price will start at $289,900.

The Nautilus model is currently offered in a number of other developments built by homebuilder Centex, a company that Pulte acquired last year.

Many residents of Ave Maria, and many prospective buyers, have expressed interest for several years in a floorplan that could better accommodate a larger family.

The addition of the Nautilus is the first new model outside of the Del Webb community that Pulte is offering in Ave Maria.
