AT&T has completed upgrading its wireless service in Ave Maria to include faster 3G data services, making access to the internet and other data services much speedier for people with AT&T cell phones and other wireless devices. (Right, the Ave Maria cell tower near South Park)
Residents began noticing the availability of 3G service over the weekend and AT&T officially announced the availability of the technology Monday morning. The carrier alsosaid it has upgraded service, including the addition of 3G data service, in the Immokalee area and at a cell tower near Immokalee Rd. and Everglades Blvd.
The cell tower in Ave Maria was completed last fall and AT&T and Verizon began using it in October. |
