The Ave Maria University Founders club annual dinner in Napl
es will be Thursday\, Dec. 6\, at LaPlaya Beach Resort.
The din
ner will benefit the Jon Scharfenberger Memorial Scholarship Fund\, which
awards scholarships to AMU students exemplifying the values of the AMU gra
duate who died in a car accident in the fall of 2011 while working for the
Students for Life organization.
Jon's mother\, Anna\, will del
iver the keynote speech and other speakers will included AMU founder Tom M
onaghan\, university President Jim Towey and Barron Collier President Blak
e Gable.
The dinner begins with an optional Mass at 4:30 p.m. w
ith the reception beginning at 5:30 p.m.

The end of each academic term at Ave Maria University offers
the opportunity to hear accomplished student musicians performing in the
Department of Music's Fall recital.
This year's recital is Satu
rday\, Dec. 8 at 2 p.m. in the private dining room of the AMU student unio
n building and will feature outstanding student pianists and singers perfo
rming works of Sibelius\, Vaughan Williams\, Fauré\, Mozart\, and others.<
