'Child 31' is a powerful movie that AMU student workers for
'Mary's Meals' hope will introduce both local residents and the AMU commun
ity to a project they hope will be long-term and town-wide. 'Mary's Meals
' seeks to provide poor children with two meals of 'porridge' every day –
an oatmeal-based meal' – freeing them from the daily scramble for basic su
stenance and enabling them to attend school.
The movie\, which
is free and open to everyone\, will be shown at 8 p.m. Sunday (after concl
usion of the 7 p.m. Mass)\, Nov. 11\, and at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday\, Nov. 14
in the lecture hall and is a half hour long.

All invited to attend a conference by Elvira Parravicini on Monday\, Nov 12 at 4 p.m. in the AMU academic building\, room 1026. Elvira is a specialist in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine and assistant professor of Clinical Pediatrics at Columbia University. She co-founded the first Neon atal Hospice Care Program at her Hospital in NY\, and she will be speaking about her work there. This event is free and open to the public.

verance\, and love.
Navis Pictures is a small\, independent fil
m production company based in Dan-bury\, CT. Founded in 2009 by Jim Morlin
o\, its primary purpose is to produce beautiful\, inspiring\, and entertai
ning films with a Catholic worldview that can be enjoyed by the entire fam

The Ave Maria Stewardship Community District will meet Tuesd
ay\, Nov. 13\, at 9 a.m. in the offices of the Ave Maria Master Associatio
n (also the fitness center) in the Ave Maria town center.
There
are two separate meetings this month. The regular board meeting will look
at the final numbers for the preceeding fiscal year as well as hear updat
es on various town projects.
A landowners meeting will follow t
o elect three members to the five-member board\, as the terms of Chairman
Tom Peek as well as Leisa Priddy and Doug Baird are expiring. At landowner
s meetings\, every property owner in Ave Maria gets one vote for each acre
of land owned\, or one vote for any individual property owned that is les
s than one acre.
