The Donahue Academy Shamrocks host a quarter-final state pla yoff championship game against Lakeside at 6:30 p.m. Friday\, Nov. 22\, on their home field at North Park. The Shamrocks finished the 7-man football season undefeated and are ranked #2 in the state.

Stage performances wil l be staggered throughout the evening and include local youth and school o rganizations such as Estates Elementary\, Ave Maria Dance Academy\, Donahu e Academy Choir\, Casa de Bambini\, Hot Flashz\, and many more local schoo ls. New this year will be a $5 Winterland Wristband giving kids unlimited access to the giant inflatable obstacle course and snowboard\, rock climbi ng wall\, and face and balloon art.

The Miracle of Mozart – tells the story of how Wolfgang
Amadeus Mozart came to write one of the most revolutionary works of all ti
me\, his final symphony\, the Symphony no. 41 in C Major\, known as the Ju
piter Symphony\, and the symphony will be performed as part of the present
ation.
Featuring vocal soloists\, chamber choir\, and symphony
orchestra\, this performance weaves images and narration into the music\,
offering a unique experience of great music. The event is free and open to
everyone\, with high school and middle school students especially encoura

An icon of the 'Black Madonna' -- Our Lady of Czestochowa -- will b
e visiting Ave Maria Monday\, Feb. 10.
Millions have turned out
to see the replica of the revered Polish icon as it has traveled more tha
n 40\,000 miles\, throughout Europe. The icon's journey\, which began in t
he summer of 2012\, is sponsored by Human Life International with the inte
nt 'to awaken the faithful about the urgency of defending life from the mo
ment of conception\,' according to Fr. Peter West of HLI.

will be a public procession at 11 a.m. from the Rhodora Donahue Academy t
o the Ave Maria Oratory for Mass at noon. The icon will be available for v

sidents to join them for their community celebration for the Feast of the
Annunciation. There will be an outdoor banquet\, live music from the band
Scythian\, and other festivities.

fundraising event Thursday\, March 27\, from 7 to 9 p.m. at The Bean.
Admission is $5 and proceeds will help in the group's evort to rai
se money for a school kitchen in Malawi\, A
frica.
The idea of Mary's Meals is simple. 'By providing one da
ily meal in a place of learning\, chronically poor children are attracted
into a classroom where they receive an education that can\, in the future\
, be their ladder out of poverty.'

ue Academy\, serve with NET Ministries.
NET Ministries challenges young Catholics to love Christ and embra
ce the life of the Church. Every August\, 130 young Catholics aged 18-28 l
eave behind their jobs\, school\, family\, and friends to devote nine mont
hs to serving with the National Evangelization Teams (NET).
Divided into 12 teams\, they travel acr
oss the U.S. for nine months to share the Gospel with young people and the
ir families. Since 1981\, NET teams have led over 26\,000 retreats and min
istered to more than 1.6 million young Catholics.
A dinner will
be served and entertainment provided by Martin Doman and Joh Audino.

The increasingly popular Sunshine State Steak Cookoff will b
e held in the Ave Maria town center Saturday\, Jan. 24. The event begins a
t 10:30 a.m. with a fun run and family festival. There will be music in th
e afternoon and steaks will be served in the late afternoon. There is no c
harge for admission to the events\, but the steak dinner costs $20 in adva
nce or $25 the day of the event and includes a 16-ounce ribeye steak\, cor

on Saturday\, March 28 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. All builders in the c
ommunity will host special events at their sales centers including live mu

and Cool Cruisers\, and model home tours. Ave Maria features three residen

The regular meeting of trhe Ave Maria Stewardship Community District has been rescheduled to Tuesday\, Dec. 15 at 9 a.m. at the office s of the Ave Maria Master Association. The meeting originally had been sch eduled for Dec. 1\, on the board's normal meeting date of the first Tuesda y of the month.
\nThe Dec. 15 meeting agenda shows a discussion of g
olf cart regulations and the procedure for a direct election for one of th
e positions on the board\, but no action on either matter. A resolution on
use of district lakes that would restrict recreational use to just catch-
and-release fishing will be presented for approval.

ose board whose primary purpose is managing the infrastructure of Ave Mari
