DESCRIPTION:<p>Steve Schultz will be offering a course in wilderness surviv
 al from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday\, March 31\, at the Tidewater Club in De
 l Webb.<br /><br />Steve developed this course based on the survival train
 ing provided to members of our armed forces who face combat-zone survival 
 situations. He has taught this course for hundreds of people\, young and o
 ld\, including members of the Civil Air Patrol\, the Boy Scouts of America
 \, as well as regular citizens interested in gaining skills to deal with t
 he unexpected.</p>\n<p>Topics covered in this all-day training event inclu

  annual conference March 31\, 2012.<br /><br />The theme of this year's co
 nference is: What is a woman and how does she affect her society and cultu
 re? <br /><br />The day-long conference will delve into what it means to b
 e a woman\, with insights from a study of Jane Austen's heroines\, and ans
 wers to questions like: what is gender\, and why does it matter? With this
  background\, the conference will look at the role women play in today's s
 ociety and what she can do to change it.<br /><br /><br />The featured spe
 aker is Kay S. Hymowitz\, the William E. Simon Fellow at the Manhattan Ins
 titute and a contributing editor of City Journal. She writes extensively o
 n childhood\, family issues\, poverty\, and cultural change in America. Hy
 mowitz is the author of 4 books\, most recently\, Manning Up: How the Rise
