The annual Farm City BBQ will be held this year at a Barron Collier citrus grove in Ave Maria, just north of Oil Well Rd by the Arthrex building. The event, which has been held annually for 56 years, will be from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21.
The BBQ is a community event that attracts over 1,100 local business leaders in the spirit of building relationships among business and agricultural leaders. The BBQ will feature fresh steak, Florida-grown corn on the cob and Immokalee Salad dished up by local elected officials and government leaders.
Proceeds from the BBQ are donated back into the community through youth leadership development programs. The beneficiaries of the 2012 BBQ will be the Collier County 4H Association, Youth Leadership Collier, the Collier County Junior Deputy League and Key Club International.
